This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways….

It has made me think about how student-centered assessments can help students become self-directed learners. It allows them to take responsibilty for their own learning. This module has also made me think about the challenges we might face with student-centered assessments. I think that it can be especially difficult in the younger grades.

Module 4 Reflection

How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?

There are so many great ways to use technology to help support and assess student learning. There are sites that you can create online quizzes, Kidspiration is a great resourse for graphic organizers, and blogs seem to be a neat way to have students respond to questions. I am really excited to continue to learn about technology that can be used to support student learning.

Module 3 Reflection

This module has helped me think about the impact of the Internet on my students’ learning in the following ways….

There is so much great information on the Internet that my students can use. At the same, it is important to teach my students about the safe ways to use the internet. I am really excited to find more resources for my students to use with our unit.

Model 2 Reflection

This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQs, or formative assessment in the following ways....
Wow!! What a busy night! This module has really made me think a lot about different ways that we can be using assessements throughout the project. Assesments are such an important part of teaching and it seems that sometimes, we wait until the end of a project to really assess our students learning. This module has really made me think about how important it is to continually assess our students progress.

This module has made me think about my role as an instructional designer in the following ways….

I have learned more about how to create a PBL. It has helped me to think about how the essential question and unit questions can help to guide in the creation of the united plan and project design. This an exciting start to this project.
